My name’s Ruby and I’m a Pasifika homeschool mum based in Sydney, Australia. My palagi husband and I currently have four kids (2 kind of big, 2 still little). This corner of the internet is an attempt to document our learning journeys (individual and shared) while incorporating our Pasifika culture and heritage as much as possible!

I started homeschooling my (at the time) two littles during the COVID-19 pandemic while self-employed, running a retail game store. Completely out of my depth but I knew that my children could not miss out on everything my childhood in Samoa had given me.
Now it’s been 7 years and I’m ready to share the joys, pains, successes, failures, discoveries and everything in between! None of it was for naught, and I’m grateful that those two littles are now “I’m basically a teenager now, mum” sort-of-big kids who love anything STEM and read all the Science Fiction and Fantasy novels I once did as a child.
I’m also a mature aged Electrical Engineering student, which has opened up even more learning opportunities for our family as whole! We can’t wait to see where life takes us with this new set of experiences, while remembering how we got here.
Thanks for stopping by and for reading all of this.
Fa’afetai le agalelei ma le alofa!
